Salary: €54,000-€64,000 DOE

  • Formulate and implement plans for psychological therapeutic intervention or management based on an appropriate conceptual framework, working in the home and clinical settings as appropriate.
  • To provide professional reports and information to other professional staff as appropriate.
  • To undertake research in clinical psychology to co-operate in research and evaluate programmes as appropriate
  • Provide clinical supervision to staff grade Psychologists and student Psychologists and take responsibility for continuous professional development to ensure compliance with statutory registration.
  • Have a working knowledge of HIQA

Requirements

  • Hold a minimum QQI Level 8 qualification in Psychology.
  • Have experience working with children with complex needs.
  • Have an Irish post-graduate qualification accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland in clinical, counselling, or educational psychology or an equivalent qualification validated by the Department of Health.

  • Be responsible for the delivery of professional psychology services in line with best practices.
  • Work within limits of professional competence in line with principles of best practice, professional conduct, and clinical governance.
  • Formulate and implement plans for psychological therapeutic intervention or management based on an appropriate conceptual framework, working in the home and clinical settings as appropriate.
  • To provide professional reports and information to other professional staff as appropriate.
  • Represent a professional viewpoint in accordance with good practice promoting high levels of ethical standards and professional conduct.
  • To undertake research in clinical psychology to co-operate in research and evaluate programmes as appropriate.
  • Provide clinical supervision to staff grade Psychologists and student Psychologists and take responsibility for continuous professional development to ensure compliance with statutory registration.
  • Attend all monitory meetings
  • Have a working knowledge of HIQA

Requirements

  • Hold a minimum of QQI level 8 qualification in Psychology.
  • Level 9 qualification accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland.
  • A min of 5 years of experience in clinical psychology is desirable.
  • Experience working with children with complex needs.
